As Ken said, I turned the corner near Bolivar’s court house, was in a 25 MPH area, I say that because Ken says I broke the bike π by getting on it too hard, and no go. I tried to twist the throttle three more times like that would work some sort of voodoo magic fixing the cable. I mentioned to Ken what I wanted to do, he gave me the dumbass look and started to work the phone. After he decided we were not getting a cable I began my many trips to “fix” the cable. Shout out to George’s auto in SCS, he has these cable ends that screw on that I’ve seen in the past at his place, so I knew they existed. Shout out to Greg at Bolivar’s O’riley Auto parts because he had the thingy, and he told me “Lynn” was working and could make the hole larger. I would not consider Lynn a friendly guy, but he did make the hole larger and I was three bucks lighter. I stopped by Ken and the bike to make sure the hole was large enough then stepped into my first Tractor Supply Store, disappointing place they have no Dremel’s until Christmas! But “Walmart” is down the street…..I love Walmart so off I went to get my Chinese knockoff Dremel with enough accessories to fix the bike for less than $20.00. After a lot of Dremel cutting, some super glue, locktite, and plumbers putty we had the bike back on the road….for now. Anyone want to warm up the bike trailer in my back yard and prepare to make a run to KY?
