The hunt intensifies

So we keep looking and so far….disappointment. We went to look at a Honda Rebel 250 where when the owner opened the door we first saw a large bong and three guys gathered around enjoying some smoke. The bike then was decent but he wants way too many much money for what it was.

Now we went to see a 1982 GL1100 which was completely refurbished……..well that’s what the advertisement said anyway. Bike was actually very nice and I would have bought it right then except for one tiny little problem the owner noted….oh yeah the front brake doesn’t work. Um excuse me? Yeah no big deal he says you just need to pump the lever a few times. Hum….I don’t want to have to pump the lever when I need to do an emergency stop because someone pulls out in front of me. We even attempted to bleed the brakes right there in his garage but to no avail. Sadly we departed and our hunt, feeling a little more urgent now continues.
