First Bike!

So last night after seeing two bikes which didn’t fit the bill today we spent the morning trying to call, text and email bikes that fit our small budget and looked to be in halfway decent shape.

Trying to get people to respond on the middle of the day is tough (lesson learned) but finally we got the owner of a 1994 Kawasaki Ninja to agree to meet us. We drove up and met Raquel who showed us a nicely maintained Ninja. After some small talk and learning how she rode it from Ohio to Texas I took it for a test drive and found a bike that seems to be in good mechanical condition. After some small haggling over the price a bike was purchased and we found ourselves 50% of the way towards a ride home. Well minus the having to figure out how to fit all our crap in the bikes.
