We have named the two bikes. The Goldwing is called the couch, the Ninja is called the torture rack, or just the rack for short. The seating position is not too bad, it’s your backside that hurts, hard thin seat. When we arrived at the hotel this evening we detached the ground wire from the couches battery, so we don’t expect any further battery issues. The couch stuttered once today so we have been putting a dab of Lucas gas treatment in each tankful. It did not use a drop of oil yesterday, I’ll check it tomorrow to see how it did today. We adjusted the air suspension on the couch after consulting the internet we had put way too much air in and had to bleed some off, it’s riding well now. The rack has been running like a fine tuned watch, obviously it was well taken care of over the years. I had a small issue with the right front turn signal, but another stop at Walmart this evening and I expect that to be fixed by morning. We have covered some 520 miles so far, no big problems up to this point. We are beginning our journey north tomorrow.
